We recently received a complain about the security guard. As an agent, we could do nothing, but can be a reference for your future journey. The complain email is as the following:

Hello,

I want to complain about the security qt the Vientiane train station. 

During security checking they dispose my spray for sunscreen and a medicine spray saying it is flammable.

But here in the station they are allowing to sell alcohol which is flammable. 

This is ridiculous. They throw goods worth USD 150.

This rule is not mentioned anywhere on the ticket. I want you to reimburse me for my loss.

I have attached photo of security person who force me to throw these.

Also, I want to add that the security was very rude to me and my wife. He threatened to throw our luggage outside the station.

There is also no place in the station to complain about such behaviour. We asked to talk to a senior, but they said there is no one we can talk to. 

We either throw the goods or leave the station.

The natives are allowed to pass with minimum checking. And tourists like us are harassed.
